Location: Newcastle Type: Fixed-term Duration: 1 year Level: 2 years of experience

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Architect to join our Newcastle studio on a one year, fixed-term contract, to cover maternity leave. There is potential for the successful applicant to become a permanent employee, if a vacancy becomes available at the end of the term.

With a healthy pipeline of important healthcare projects in the UK and overseas, we are offering the opportunity to be involved in projects from the earliest stages, contributing to their success. We offer a hybrid working model, with a base in our city centre studio, alongside the opportunity to work flexibly from home 2 days per week. You will be a key part of our dedicated team in a secure and rewarding sector.

Person Specification

  • Two years of post-qualification experience including registration with ARB, or equivalent
  • A strong design background with the ability to show design intent from concept through to completion – healthcare experience is not essential
  • Strong communication skills
  • Intermediate to advanced level Autodesk Revit skills
  • A positive approach, with motivation, enthusiasm and ambition
  • A passion for design and the built environment
  • Good technical ability, including an understanding and experience of UK-based specification, planning, building regulations and construction details
