Ruairi Reeves elected to Architects For Health Committee
Ruairi Reeves has been elected to the Executive Committee of Architects For Health by the association’s membership.
The role will see Ruairi contribute to the development of the association and its objectives, alongside his fellow committee members.
Architects for Health is an international community for sharing best practice, knowledge, innovation and thought leadership relating to the built environment for healthcare. We have been closely aligned with the association since its inception, with our practice founder Christopher Shaw standing down as Chair this year, following his retirement.
Setting out his aspirations in his candidate statement, Ruairi said:
“I’ve enjoyed inspiring talks, visited great healthcare facilities and met inspiring people during 15 years of AfH membership. I now feel it’s time to contribute more.
“As a committee member I want to continue AfH’s programme of high quality and diverse talks and visits. I want to reinforce AfH’s position as a widely recognised and respected centre of knowledge. I want to help AfH reach all regions as well as drawing knowledge from the best examples internationally. Finally, I want to promote healthcare design in education as the rewarding career choice that it can be.”
Following news of his selection, Ruairi said:
A big thank you to everyone who voted. Architects for Health is a great resource for architects and other professionals involved in healthcare design and I’m looking forward to actively supporting its programme through the Executive Committee. I’d like to give a special mention to Christopher Shaw on stepping down as Chair and congratulations to Jaime Bishop and Stephanie Williamson on their new role as Co-chairs.
