Joanna Ross

Joanna completed her degree in Architectural Technology at Robert Gordon University, including a semester at the University of Alicante, where she learned to design for a different climate with particular cultural and technological requirements. She has a particular interest in acoustic design, with her dissertation focusing on the psychological and physiological effects of building acoustics and the potential impact on patient recovery, staff effectiveness and emotional comfort.

Joanna is an Architectural Technologist in our Newcastle Studio. She is currently working on the redevelopment of Bamburgh Clinic at St Nicholas’ Hospital in Newcastle, and the refurbishment of Alnwick Day Surgery, an endoscopic surgical facility.
