Hun Pu adopts a leadership role in NextGen and IHEEM partnership
The Institute of Healthcare Engineering and Estate Management (IHEEM) and the NextGen Healthcare Network have formed a new partnership to support skills development across the healthcare estates sector.
This is an important step in facilitating open, informed dialogue, bridging cross-generational perspectives between experienced professionals and the next generation working in the development and management of healthcare facilities.
Project Architect and Midlands Lead for Medical Architecture, Hun Pu, will have a significant role to play in developing the partnership. In his position as Midlands Regional Lead at the NextGen Healthcare Network, Hun is currently shaping regional initiatives that connect, support and celebrate emerging professionals, while building partnerships with local organisations to drive collaboration.
For the NextGen Healthcare Network, Hun also leads the Regulations & Compliance Working Group, setting its strategic direction and bringing together an open, cross-disciplinary forum to innovatively and critically explore healthcare regulation and compliance in the sector. This translates shared experience and insight into practical outputs that inform design, delivery and practice.
With the New Hospital Programme and Neighbourhood Health Centre programme both gaining momentum, it is an exciting time to be working on the development of the next generation of healthcare facilities. Now, more than ever, collaboration and dialogue across disciplines is essential to the future health and resilience of the NHS estate and our healthcare professional workforce. Early-career professionals have a critical part to play in this.
