Medical Architecture has posted an impressive financial performance for 2019/20, with turnover reaching over £3m for the first time.

It has been a busy year with further growth anticipated, with key projects including:
• £72m redevelopment of Northgate Hospital, Morpeth
• Early stage design of the Great North Specialist Care Hospital, RVI, £135m
• Supporting Sheppard Robson on the £560m North Manchester General Hospital
• Reorganisation and redevelopment of Dorset Healthcare University NHS Foundation Trust’s countywide estate

We have seen the completion of major mental health hospitals at Blossom Court in North London and National Forensic Hospital, Portrane, Dublin, along with a number of strategic estates projects across the UK.

In 2019, we combined with housing specialist TM Architects to create a joined up service to help unlock the potential of hospital Trusts’ underused estate. Opportunities are beginning to present themselves and we will be building on this in 2021. Combined, we now have a joint staff of over 50 talented people.

Director Paul Yeomans commented: “Our capability and experience in the UK healthcare sector has contributed to this growth. We have secured new clients and several important NHS health infrastructure projects. Future prospects are positive and we expect to expand our health and social care capacity over the next year.”
