Medical Architecture appointed for first Scottish project

HawickMedical Architecture has recently won their first commission in Scotland after a successful bid with Kier through Frameworks Scotland 2. The project will see the relocation of NHS Borders’ East/West Brigs Mental Health Rehabilitation Ward to Crumhaugh House in Hawick.

The refurbishment of the two storey property will provide 13 patients with high quality, safe and fit-for-purpose accommodation, providing a therapeutic environment to aid recovery. Design work is due to start in October 2016.

Director at Medical Architecture, Paul Yeomans, said “We are really looking forward to starting this project. It will breathe new life into an empty building. We are excited to be working for a new client, on a new framework in a new business region. We look forward to strengthening our relationship with Kier Scotland through this framework.”
