A Hat-trick of Awards for Clock View at the Design in Mental Health Dinner

Medical Architecture were delighted that Clock View Hospital received three Awards at the Design in Mental Health Awards dinner in Birmingham on the 17th May.

Bob Wills, a Director at Medical Architecture, and Alison Jordan from the Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust collected the hat-trick from Frank Bruno on stage at the Awards Ceremony.

The prestigious Awards were for ‘Service User Experience’; ‘Design Champion’; and ‘Healthy Outdoor Lifestyle’.

The judges recognised the extent of service user engagement at design stage and the therapeutic quality of the resulting service user environment. Beatrice Fraenkel (Chair of the Mersey Care Trust) was nominated for the Design Champion Award for her outstanding support for high quality design.

The buildings and gardens were designed together to give easy access to generously landscaped, safe, secure and stimulating external environments for 24 hours a day, and this together with an active local connection with Everton Football club will have impressed the judges.’
